About Us

With wood in my veins, a great-grandson of Lumber millers and forestry manager growing up, and watching my grandfather’s working the mill in the hills of the Ozarks, I learned a lot, but most importantly, a hard day’s work done right was priceless. From felling the trees to hooking them up to the horses pulling into the lumber yard. The saws were powered by belts and pulleys churning up sawdust around them. The smell of freshly cut wood rose out on the country breeze.

My grandfathers were not just lumberjacks but real hillbillys with no electricity. They provided everything they could use on the farm, from Tabaco to Cain sorghum molasses. Milk cows, chickens, hogs, and mules around the hilly farm.  Storing in the root cellar and curing hams for winter was a daily chore.

I was watching them build items from wood to sell or use, left and lasting impression on me. I learned a lot from those men. I started to build items in my shop after being a disabled veteran, with my grandchildren watching and learning. We soon worked on building projects for family and friends while they started mastering the tools. It has been so rewarding learning and then passing it down to the next generation. While we use more modern tools today, I still pull out some from the past to show the kids. I am proud of the work in everything we do. Check out our products, and if you don’t see something you want, feel free to call us up, and we will help build your dream into a loving piece lasting a lifetime.
